how to change the serpentine belt
#2
I use a breaker bar to loosen up the tensioner and take the belt off the alternator. Make sure you re-route it correctly and you'll be fine. The tensioner is on the left side of the motor towards the top. Theres a square hole and put the bar in there and push down.

its very easy, just losen up the tensioner, and take the belt off, and then put the new one on.
Its a good idea to make a little diagram of the pulleys and belt especially if you've never done it before, just incase you forget how the belt loops around.

If it is your first time, it also wouldn't hurt to have someone hold the breaker bar on the tensioner, that way you have both hands to work with. You need to make sure the belt seats completely on each pulley before you start the car, this can be done by visual inspection and feel.

There should be a diagram on the guard above the radiator as well.
I recommend you keep the old belt wrapped up nice and clean and keep it in the trunk/spare tire well. I have ALWAYS done this and nice way to keep you from getting stranded out somewhere. If the current belt eventually breaks, freys or something, you can pull over and just quickly install the old spare one. Next town you hit, pick up a brand-new one and put the old one back in the trunk. This has not yet ever happened to me, but would be a MAJOR bummer to need a tow because of a belt you threw away when you replaced it last time.

Cake work man.
Everyone here has you covered, but Im going to tell you how anyway.
You will need a good sized 3/8s head ratchet or breaker bar. DO NOT loosen the tensioner bolt. Push the tensioner back, slide the belt off the alternator, and let the tensioner go. Get the belt off from around the pullies. Re-route new belt around everything loosely except for the alternator. Push the tensioner back and lastly slide the top of the belt onto the alt pulley.
