Default tubular k member, questions reviews

anyone have them? im thinking about the QA1 but read something about it raising the engine a half inch and the pass side is higher? I plan on staying with stock control arms and springs so just the k member...what are some good ones that arent outrageously priced

Pa Racing K member here. Fits great. Only problem i had was using the stock springs with there spring perch control arms caused the car to sit alot higher. Eventually settled on coilovers to fix that. I will definitely recommand getting the tubular control arms and just going coilover and being done with it. Mustangman281 had a qa1 with their control arms and coilover kit and said he never had any problems with it also.

This may be true...but he also ran 9s at 128 mph....

Regardless, I have heard some claim poor quality on the QA1, I intend to get the UPR setup...Im not sure about PA Racing though.

I have the QA1 K member and Control arms. The over fit was ok... but for some reason I'm still having alignment issues on the horizontal axis. People say you need to adjust it... but I just don't see the adjustment. Other than that... for the money(cheap), it was ok.

i have a full front QA1 setup. the k-member i got had some problems, but i think it was the fact that the UPR solid motor mounts i got were trash. so i just chucked em and went with my stockers (bleh) prolly switch them out later...

is there a reason you want to swap the k-member? its not exactly the most fun of tasks. also, if you get the k, you might as well get a-arms. or else you'll have to grind the stock arms.

are you going coilover or keeping stock spring location? for some reason my coilover springs hit the outside of the strut tower with -1.0 camber. im thinkin i might have to grind the tower slightly to fit it. not sure what else to do, tried more camber and less but it doesnt help, unless im riding at stock height, but whats the point in that?

i wouldnt go with qa1, i have a friend who got just the k-member and it seperated at the welds in 2 locations. he barely races it or goes crazy on bumps(lowered about 2.25-2.5in). when i saw the cracks i was just shocked and when he called qa1 they told him that since it was over a year, he was SOL. ended up taking it to an exhaust shop to have it tig welded. something to think about.
