Default taking front grill off

i am trying to take my front grill off and there is a bolt that i have no idea how to get out. its like a torx bolt with a circle in the middle of it.... wtf. here are a few pics so yall can see what im talkin about. its a 99 GT:

To take the grill off? You shouldn't have to touch that.

Oh, and they make special torx sockets with reliefs in the bit to fit those kinds of bolts. Why, I don't know. Just another bolt manufacturer/tool company ploy to make more money, I guess.

Yes you need a torque socket probably a T-15.

in order to get the old grill piece of it has to be unbolted... can i get it at autozone

You should be able to pick up a set at Sears for sure, if not, autozone would be my next guess.

I bought a set of security torx bits from Sears for like $12. That's what that little notch is in the middle of the bolt you have there. I needed it to take out the bolts for the MAF so I could clean the wire so I just bought a whole set.

broncos have the same bolts holding on the top. i bought mine at autozone when i took the top off my bronco.

+1 that's gonna need a security bit. I got a HUGE set from harbor freight super cheap like 100+ pieces under 10 bucks...

Hey my car didn't even have that radiator guard - I had to order the 3-piece delete kit..
