oil weight
my car has 195000 miles. i think its burning a little bit of oil. should i switch from 5w-20 to 10w-40?

no one knows anything about oil weights and high mileage cars...

I have a 99 GT also and it has a sticker that calls for 5w-30. It's not going to hurt it.

I run 5w30 in mine and its got 120,000 miles on it

I wouldn't use anything more than 5w30. Our motors have tighter clearances than an older motor. Thicker isnt always better.
