subframe install??
i bought a set of J&M subframes from AM...i want to install these tomrrow, do i need to do anything to the frame rail by the lower control arm? i read writeups for MM subframe and **** about torque boxes or do i just put the rail right over that metal plate on the frame rail and weld right to it?

When you put them up to do your test fitting you will see where to weld them on the rear. I just put the MM on last weekend and welded them to the plate and part of the rear inner sub frame.
Something I Did that helped me only because I was doing it alone was I used bottle jacks to hold the SF Connectors nice and snug to the car while I got them tacked in.

Some kits include reinforcement plates. Don't confuse these with actual torque box reinforcements. Rather, these plates are meant to strengthen that square -ish area that the sfc's will be welded to in the rear of the car. If your kit includes these plates, you will see that they only fit one way. Weld the plates to the car and then weld the sfc's to the plate.

yeah it didnt come with plates...alsooo i think i started twisting my frame because 1. the roof is a little buckled/rinkled in the corners and 2. the subframe connector has a slight gap along the middle part of the front frame rail....idk im ****ed lol

You might have to do some improvising I had very large gaps because the idiot that owned my car before always jacked the car up wrong and the front subframe was dented up on most of it I just made my own bracing.
One way to help with the gap is to jack either the front or the rear of the sub-frame connector snug to the car then get another jack and jack the other end snug to the car. Don't jack up the car just get them snug and then weld them in place
