Default vibration when downshifting

well ive been trying to get my car straightened out since it decided to start running like crap. missing ect. i replaced the fuel filter, injectors
my cats are blown out and my cel is on for the rear 02 sensors(im assuming thats cause of the cats)

i just replaced the coil packs and i cant tell if it helped,im hoping when i put my new cats on it will be okay. i think my coils were bad and thats why my cats went bad.

i have a vibration when down shifting to first i can feel it rolling to a stop at the shifter,it seems to stop once the rpms drop down to idle. it also happens when downshifting into second but its not as bad.

what does the vibration lead to? ive had it since the car started running ****ty but didnt think much of it. hopefully the vibration has something to do with why my cars running like crap.

you should have gone with a set of OEM spark plugs first, I thought I had a bad coil, but it just needed plugs.

Thats a pretty vague description, if its in your shifter, you're just feeling your trans because you are connected directly to it. Your clutch could be going too. And why would you down shift into first?

Another possibility is a motor mount is cracked, check those. Make sure your U-joints are good on your drive shaft.

where do you feel the vibration exactly? The entire car or just in the shifter? and is it consistent with the car actually slowing down with the gears or is it just a shake?

And I second the "why are you down shifting into first" comment.

ya? why would you ever shift down to first, you should only go into first from a dead stop, you can go to second gear then after that use ur damn brakes, its not good for the car at all

i mean downshifting into first and holding the clutch down when coming close to a stop sign. the vibration goes away when the car goes back to idle speed.

i can feel the vibration in the shifter and i have cd cases in the driver side door which vibrate when this happens.
its felt most in the shifter.

by the way i recharged my a/c and put the stuff with stopleak in it and after that my car didnt seem to rev up from idle like it used to when the a/c vent or heat was on.

my CEL went out too.

it seems to be running better but the power still isnt there. ill see what happens when i get the new cats on there.

o i see what you men, and yes all cars do that, the synchros are just making noise n what not, adn when stopped the synchros arent speeding up to keep up with your revs, but just put the car in first when you come to a dead stop, done anticipate it, cause if your still rolling you cna just take off in 2nd

okay thanks hopefully my car will be okay once i replace my cats.

doesnt seem too bad now but the power isnt all there and it takes longer for the rpms to climb. probably cause of the bad cats.
