Default help my launch

so everyone is gonna say search, but i feel that every car is different when it comes to this due to the mods they have and the age of the coils and whatnot. so here goes. when i launch or even when im rolling in first and floor it, i can feel my car lean back and my rear tires spin. if im in any other gear besides first my tires wont spin so much but the car will still have probs with weight transfer, traction. im not sure why its so difficult for me to get traction. but im tired of my buddies lt1 camaro whoopin my *** when i know im faster lol. so the mods are: sub frame connectors, eibach springs, 3.73's, falken ziex ze-512 245/45/17 tires, a tune, and the engine is basically stock. im thinking my shocks/struts may need replacement o maybe my springs are fatigued. possibly i should buy nitto 555's? ideas?

Your biggest problem is your tires. THERE ARE TOO SKINNY! lol You need to put some 315s on there. It will make your car grip better in first gear(any gear for that matter), without slicks or DRs, your car is going to spin when you "mash" it in first and possibly second. You have to learn how to "mash" it without "mashing" it, you understand lol. And when you floor it and feel the weight transfer, that is called torque

Which ever rim you like is all that matters. I don't know where your from but you could run Nitto 555R if you wanted to. Those would give the best traction but for a street tire the 555s are good.

as far as i know nitto555 give the worst traction. BFG's are the way to go, but they're pricey. so you maybe better off with some falcons or sumitomo.
same thing happens with me i have 275's bfg's in the back, but they're bald, a lot of people even ask me if i'm running slicks lol. when i sing the pedal to the metal i start spinning in 1st then when i power shift in second it spins trough the entire 2nd and then starts to slow down lol.

well i was gonna get 555r's but the temps where i live get to around 10 degrees f in the winter and i dont want them to crack. also tread life is a concern as well. the 315's ive been looking at go for around 200 bucks a pop. are there any comparable tires in that price range that may give better traction

Not sure where vovovovan got the statement that Nitto 555s give the worst traction (what is he comparing them too?) For a street tire, Nitto 555s are a good tire. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on them.

And if you decided on the 555r's, then you wouldn't be buying (4) 315s, instead you would buy (2) 315 and (2) 245 or 265s and you wouldn't necessary need DRs in the front.

Yes! Thats what I'm running on mine. I can drop the clutch at 3500 to 4000 RPM's, and I get little tire spin. I'm talking like a second gear chirp from that high in the rpm range.
