How do I remove the auto shift knob?
 

It might sound like a odd question, but I will like to know how so I can buy and install this. Any info should be apprecieated.

That is really cool. Where did you find it? and how much? I have not looked at it but I will take a look and see if I can figure out how id all comes apart

Thanks, they had a really cool one that looked just like a manual shift knob. There wasn't a button, you had to push the knob down to switch gears! I don't see it anymore but here's the link.

Well does anyone know where I can go to find a little help on the subject? I guess nobody ever had to deak with removing the auto shift knob.LOL

I think it was Mustang World that I just went over this recently to add a leather shift boot. You just pull your shifter into first gear, now look at the back of the shifter and you will see a little hole. You will need a pretty small allen wrench, but I dont remember what size I used. Just unscrew it and then it should pull right off. DOnt pull it to hard because it is still attached by your OD wires that are in this little loom. I had to cut mine to get the boot on, then spliced it back together. TUrned out great and now I can quick disconnect the wires if I ever need to remove again because I used male/female ends on the reconnection. If you want pics of the leather boot on the automatic, it looks slick. I just need a Bullitt shifter bezel. csbill@comcast.net
