Default Throttle body

the SA-15 has the stock GT throttle body. i have purchased a cold air intake and have polished the plenum myself with the help of my best tool mr.dremel. will i see an increase in power with a 70mm or a 75mm TB? I have heard that the TB really doesnt help much for the money spent. is this correct?

The larger TB's work best with an aftermarket plenum. 70mm is suggested with the Accufab and 75mm with some of the other brands. Perhaps your ported out stock plenum will also add to its effectiveness. My suggestion.....get an Accufab and don't waste your time trying to do something the pros have designed from scratch. Good luck!

The trottle body will increase a little hp but will give you a greater throttle response. 70mm is good enough for a N/A application but for forced induction you might want the 75mm throttle body with a matching 75mm plenum. Accufab makes great ones but are a tad expensive. Look around for a good deal. mustangtuning.com has the best deal I've seen so far for accufab.

Special still may not be optimum. If you are satisfied with the plenum, just get an Accufab 75mm TB. I agree the 75mm is the better choice with forced induction. If you like "show" as well as "go" the Accufab products blow all the others out of the water as far as dress-up. They have a very highly polished finish that resembles chrome. Looks great under the hood! Just give Accufab a call and tell them what set-up you currently have and they can surely steer you in the right direction so you don't waste your time and money with an otherwise compromised system.
