Default Will 315's Fit?!?!?!?!?

I have a '96 GT Supercharged and am looking to change my wheel/tire combo. I want to go with the widest on the rear that I can. My car is lowered 1.5 inches and I'm currently running 275/35/17 Mickey Thompson E/T Streets with no clearance issues. I need more traction cause I can light them up even driving at 40 mph.I want to go with the 315's on a 10.5 inch rim. Will they fit?

315 is a common size for a 10.5" wheel. I even had 335's on a 11" TT2 "Without" the quad shock.

you might have to move the exhaust tips. I geuss it depends on the rims also because i had a 95 with 275's on and it was about 1/2 inch away from pipes, i now have an 02 and have 315's on it with plenty of room.I had cobra r's for both so it might have to do with the offset of your rim

That really has everything to do with how your E. Kit is hung and put together. Stock may not rub, (Dimple it, if it does) and Aftermarket exhaust should be hung with that in mind anyway. If it does hit, dimple it or yank on it, lol.

I want to put the FR500 rims (10.5 inch) with the Mickey Thompson E/T Streets 315/35/17. I don't know the offset of the rims.

You should be more worried about the type of the tire then the width of the tire, just running a wider street tire will do just about nothing.

I ran a 1.55 60ft time with the Mickey Thompson E/T Streets 275/35/17 at 18 lbs. of air. That was after a 4-5 second burnout before the run. I'm looking to go wider for street use when I don't have the ability to do a burnout before mashing it.....and for looks.

i have a 97 gt and i have the 17x10.5 wheels with 315/35/17 nitto drag radials on it, they fit fine but i removed my quad shocks just cuz and i moved my exhaust and put some turn downs cuz it sounds better but with stock exhaust and suspension they fit fine, i had mine lowered too and they still fit and look great and hook up awesome. I would reccomend dealing with americanmuscle.com great deals, great products, and they sponsor the site
