Default trick flow heads..stock cams?

whats your input on this? i would upgrade the cams but im running a stock bottem end and i want a .550 lift cam which wont work with unnotched pistons.

would you wait or buy them and install the stock cams back in them?

DO NOT buy TF heads and keep stock cams in them. If you buy the TF heads you need to get CMS Stage 4 cams.

You can get away with aftermarket cams and stock heads, but stock cams with aftermarket/ported heads is loose/loose situation

You may be able to use the stock cams, but you're really not getting your money's worth of out of the heads, you really need to upgrade. And you don't NEED a set of CMS stage 4's, especially since you're a blown application and those are NA cams. If you want the best of of those heads, get a custom grind for your setup.

I learned on the dyno that cams over 225 or so of intake duration just lose midrange with the TFS heads and the stock plastic intake without making anymore top end HP. Be real careful how you cam the motor with these heads.
