Default 4.6L Intake Spacer

Hey guys! Sorry haven't posted anything in a while, been kinda busy around here. anyway, i'm getting ready to install a upr products billet intake spacer on my 96 4.6. But since it raises up the egr valve, and the egr pipe is really stiff, i'm not sure if the two will reconnect after the spacer in installed. i'm a little hesitant to just bend the pipe, but i did disconnect it this morning and tried to see how flexible it is and i'm not sure if i can even bend it. anyone have any advice?
