I'm thinking about adding a supercharger later on and my tuner is 30 mins away and i was wondering is it safe to drive down there or whats the best way to do it? keep it uder a certain rpm and mph? and its mostly all highway driving.

what s/c are you wanting to add to your car?
If you are going to run just a small amount of boost 6-8PSI, then i say you "can".. Just DO NOT enter boost on a untuned motor. Take it slow and steady and you should be fine. I would however def have a A/F gauge hooked up so you can see how the car is running while driving there.
Me personally, i would just go rent a car dolly or something of that nature and just pull the car to your tuner.

When I did my vortech. The car would not even run long enough to drive out of my parking spot. It just kept stalling.

I had it towed.

I would not recommend driving the car.

Hmm,,,take an unnecessary risk and potentially blow up your car

or

Spend 40 dollars, rent a trailer or borrow a trailer and do it right

Your call.

Well it will be your choice on what you want to do. If you start it up for the first time and everything is running good and your A/F is good, take it for a quick spin around the block and see how it drives. If everything is good, then like i said, you "can".
But i would rather be safe than sorry....

well you will more than likely be upping your injectors and MAF so do what I did. I drove to the tuner before hand.. had him whip out a quick base tune with a 3500rpm rev limiter and then drive to the tuner.

I recommend you go to U-haul and rent a $40 dolley. After you change your injectors and MAF it is unlikely that your car will run good enough to drive it to the tuners. If you decide to change your injectors and put on a MAFia at the tuner's shop then it is probably possible if you are getting a centrifical supercharger. A centrifical supercharger doesn't generate a lot of boost at low rpm so keep the rpm below 2000. I personally wouldn't chance it but I've read post from people who have done it.

I personally don't like this approach, for one simple reason. You have no clue what the car is going to do when you start it at the tuners. If you get the base tune to correct the injector size and MAF size.... you get the chance to put a few miles on the car and make sure everything is running properly before you put the car on the rollers and give it to her like a $2 *****.
