Default Rear caliper piston problem

So I am doing my brakes (rear rotors and new pads on all corners). My question is: my passengers rear caliper piston isn't going in. The front pistons are the kind you just push back in with a C-clamp but the rear, I found out, is the twist and push type. Well I pushed the caliper in as far as it would go before realizing it was twist kind and I was pushing it in. So I tried to twist it in the rest of the way but no luck. Then I figured I would twist it back out and then back in but I couldn't even get the piston to start moving back in. Why is that? Did I ruin the piston? Or am I just not doing something right? I tried to push the piston is just to get it started then I would twist it the rest of the way but still no luck. I need your help so I don't have to buy new calipers. Thanks guys!

I have the special tool and it still won't twist back into the caliper. It's stuck.

Just sneeze at it =) j/k I've had the same issue before but not on my car. Just keep messing with it and it should start working again.

Ya I finally got it. I had to bring the piston out as far as it would go and then it pushed right back in. I feel like a noob for not being able to figure it out right away lol

the rear pistons suck. Don't worry about feeling like a newb. I bent a c-clamp trying to force the piston in before realizing it screwed in. It's part of the do it yourself process. Glad to hear you got it to work
