rear end ?'s
I am building a cobra motor and going to be around 500-550 hp with a KB on it so the tq will be up there also. I want to make sure that I brace the rear end enough to be able to take the abuse. I was thinking of putting forged gears in there with an aburn pro series posi and then I can cut down a little on bracing the rear end as much. I will oviously put either a big rear sway bar or something in addition but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I was going to go with moser 31 spline axels also.
Any suggestions?

so your saying just replace the axels and thats it? Or are you saying replace everything, the axels, forged gears, and aburn posi?
I dont want to have to worry about beating the rear end and having it break is why im trying to find the easiest way to do it so the rear end will hold up to a beating.

Yes if your car is 28 spline currently, going to 31 spline will force you to buy a new LSD. With doing that you might as well put gears in there also.
Question for whom ever:
What if someone wanted build their rear end with 33 spline and a spool set up, would that be total overkill if you were going to be drag racing a lot with slicks? Is a 31 spline rear end plenty and 33 spline is for big hp numbers? I'm just curious to know which set up would be better for drag racing every weekend with slicks.
