Default little problem with nitrous tune.

got my car tuned for a 100 wet shot about a 2 years ago and havnt sprayed it in a while. the problem is that the tunes r changed with a diablo flip chip and i dont remember if the nitrous tune is flip the switch up or down. when i got it tuned the guy told me i can run the nitrous tune all the time and it wont hurt the motor but to deffinatly have the nitrous tune on while spraying it. i called the guy who tuned it and he said i would have to bring the car in and have him hook it up to something but i dont feel like doing that. this happined to me befor and i thought i had the right tune but i noticed when i sprayed it sounded like the car was breaking up a bit so i tried the other tune and it ran pefect...i kind of forgot what tune i used tho...annnyway i was wondering if spraying it on the wrong tune would be that bad for the car. i would only have to spray one gear to tell if its the right tune or not and i figured that since most people say u dont even need to tune a gt for a 100 shot that it shouldnt b so bad...what do u guys think?

You'll be fine. Spraying in one gear won't kill it.

No problem man! Yeah, i remember talking to my tuner about something like this. He basically said that he doesn't recommend it, but you can get by with spraying an ocassional 75-100 shot on a stock tune. Since you're only talking one gear...one time, i can't see how anything bad would happen.

Good luck on the upcomming race! Do you have a good bottle heater? I'm guessing New Jersey isn't a lot warmer than Michigan these days. I usually throw mine on when it gets below 70 degrees...just in case!

actually just picked up a new unopened zex bottle heater from some guy for $70. havnt had a chance to try it out with the bottle filled but it deffinatly gets hot. its still around 60-70 during the day in jersey but its gettin pretty cold at night so im deffinatly gona use it. my friend had a zex heater tho and said it would only heat to 900-950...i know thats not thaat bad i hope i can get around 1000-1100. what do u usually run ur bottle at?

Your friend is right about the Zex heater. I run one with my NOS kit, and it holds at 950 psi. You might gain a little with more pressure, but i'm not sure. I know mine put down the numbers in my sig with 875-900 psi.
