[b]I was wanting to know if a full exhaust system would be better then getting 4.10s? Also what exhaust would be bang for the buck, i'm having trouble finding a good set of long tube headers for my 01 auto GT. Sorry if I have repeated this post.[b]

Because they will improve your et way more drastically than a full exhaust job will. Especially since u are considering 4.10's....by the way good choice of gear swap size.

not nec, LT'S and gears give you different gains ya know? i mean, if you were to get a full SLP exhaust you would see better times. (i think) i mean like on a LS1, full slp can give up to 45rwhp, and like 60 tq. this is what they say on the website but my buddy put it on his 2000 camaro and this thing rocks now. he hasnt had it dynod yet, but this thing is 10 times fatser than it was before we installed everything.

oh and also, gears would give you much better acceleration, but lt's give you alot of topend.

Exhaust. Make your mustang purr. Plus exhaust adds hp, gears add nothing just make it quicker.

I'm not sure about your '01, but folks on ebay have FlowMaster American Thunders for '04s for $280 + $30 SH. $310 for a nice sound. Long tubes are nice, but are a pain if you have to do any tranny work. Don't forget an x-pipe or pro-chamber. Hey, while you're at it, the CAI and TB/P should go. More air out, more air in. HP goes up 35-50 with the right parts.

Like everyone else, gears make you quicker off the line.
