oil press problem

Default oil press problem

ok i just rebuilt the engine new oil pump new sending unit once the car warms up i lose oil press below 2k anyone have any ideas what this can be

Clearances and/or too thin of oil.

EDIT: You will lose a certain amount of oil pressure as engine speed decreases. What pressure level is it at during IDLE when WARMED UP?

Using 5-30 as for the oil press guage it drops to none at idle
this is my origianal problem why I had to rebuild I had lost all oil press now it's doing it again don't know if it could be the oil cooler

No i havent going ny the stock one n if i let it idle when the gauge drops it starts to ping cuse Of lack Of oil this is round 3 with this issue

When you rebuilt the engine did you reuse the block? You could have an oil passage blocked. I'd still try putting a mechanical guage on and watch what happens.

i did reuse the block but if it was in the block it would have started right away this started after driving it with no problem for 100 miles after that it started acting up

Is there any noise with it too? If u have NO press, you'd hear it. Put a real guage on it before jumping to conclusions
