Default What do i need for higher RPMs?

we all know these motors need to rev to make power. and i was wondering what it would take to safely rev my car to 7500. someone mentioned an 01 cobra rotating assembly, but wont that lower my compression? thats the last thing i want. i was thinking forged internals, but where do i get all that stuff at? its cold outside and im bored lol

Cams that peak near there, Forged internals, an oil pump and a better transmission. The valvetrain minus the obvious cams & springs are good till 10k rpm. (Says Livernois anyway.)

Haha, two things fail you, reading and telling the difference between Denzel Washington and Sam Jackson, lol.

I answered the only question that matters from his post. "i was wondering what it would take to safely rev my car to 7500?"

because when you go higher in rpms you make more power and more power + weak trans = broken trans, i went with a tko500 and its awesome. My advice would be to buy a tko either 500 or 600 whichever suits your needs better from libertys gears in michigan and have them pro shift it, cuz with a stock tko it doesnt like to shift at high rpms but libertys gears has a few tricks that they do that supposedly makes them shift like butter at extremely high rpms

I'm not a big fan of the tko's so I'd either go for a remanufactured or built T56. I know a few people making 600rw on the stock trans making 10sec passes without failure. If it does break the the parts are cheap and "I" think easier to replace. The input shaft would be the thing that breaks and I think a novice could change that out.

Sxynerd would know better than I, but I would also guess you'll need an intake manifold and a set of heads that are going to be capable of the CFM you'll need at 7K.

The intake would be the one of the last things I'd do but if you want peak up top it wouldn't hurt to change your intake. (OR as a whole project) The stock design is actually not that bad for the engine design which is why there's not much gain over stock. The Edelbrock and the TFS intakes are both very good intakes.
