Hey guys, I tried searching the forums for this but I'm not having a lot of luck so I'll just post it. So here's what happened.

The chip out of my key actually fell out of the key and I hadn't realized it so it triggered the Anti-Theft device. It throws the P1260 code which reads out as, "Theft Detected, Vehicle Immobilized." So I tried to start the car with my spare key and it locked the ignition.

Is there anyway that I can reset the vehicle's theft mechanism? This same thing happened not 6 months ago and I ended up spending about $200 to fix it. Now I really don't have the money to take it back to the shop. Can anyone help me out?

You'll need to take your key with a photo ID and you title or registration w/ vin to a dealership. They will make you a new Key. $60-80
