r u able to removed the heads with the lt attached by just jacking the motor up some

yup, but its a PITA. you obviously have to move a bunch of stuff out of the way like the steering rack/shaft thing lol whatever its called, starter, and have a 2 by 4 handy to use as leverage to shift the engine over as much as possible. thats how my friend and i did it on his car as well as mine, although i only have shorties. still just as frustrating as long tubes. we put a hydraulic jack under the oil pan and jacked the engine up as far as possible.
