Mid-Pipe & O2 Sensors???
Getting ready to install a Dr. Gas O/R X-Pipe on an '04 GT, but I'm wondering if I can get away without installing the rear O2's. A Predator is being used in tuning this car and it has selections that can "turn off" the rear O2's. I've learned that the Predator doesn't just "turn off" rear O2's. It modifies the program as if there were never any rear O2's in the system for the 'OBD' to read information from. Would this mean that I could just protect and tuck the O2 connections out of the way when using the Predator selections?
Meanwhile... I am prepaired to install bungs for the O2's and incorporate MIL Eliminators which will provide the constant voltage needed telling the 'OBD' that the A/F Ratio is in range to avoid any potential trouble codes. I am just not wanting to modify the X-Pipe keeping the install as clean, simple, and free from obstructions/intrusions as possible. Sort of saving that trip for a Wide Band O2 later on down the road perhaps. Thoughts, suggestions and/or insight would be greatly appreciated.
