4.6 to 302 swap
#3
I guess that depends on what you're trying to achieve. Based on my personal experience the 5.0 is not as efficient as the 4.6. Case in point: My buddy has a HCI 95 Cobra, 5 liter, with gears, and it puts down 300 rwhp. When we race (mods and numbers are in my sig) and i'm running n/a, we are practically dead even everytime. Now he has 30 more hp than me, but it doesn't put it down as effectively.
I'm sure there are advantages (like more cubic inches to work with, pushrods, etc.) but pound for pound, mod for mod, the 4.6 seems better from what i've seen.

parts would b cheeper. bout the only advantage i can think of. i always thought the 5.0 had more potetial then the 4.6 but when u really think about it i guess it dosnt...we can make around 320-330 rwhp full bolt ons plus h/c/i and i guess that around what a h/c/i 5.0 will make depending on the h/c/i setup. it would deffinatly b something different tho and im sure u could find a way to make the power that your looking for

302 has alot more n/a potential. You just have to build the motor. But it depends on what you want, if you want stockish mpg, idle and drivability, then you want the mod motor and boost. If you want ***** out fast (and want small displacement) you want HCI, built 302 w/ aftermarket block and a 300 shot. In the end its all money, between those choices, boosted go with modular, anything else go 302. The reason being the EFI and ease of tuning on a mod. Both are small displacement, you can get a little more out of the 302. But, really I would go with a 351 stroker or a 460 stroker.

i found a 5.0 stroker mod motor from mmr and i was wondering if doing that would be a good choice. and what kind of tuning i would need or if i would need a new computer.
