Default 1996 Mustang GT Speedo

Well I got new Tires for my car today. I drove home on the highway and I drove next to my mom and pointed to the speedometer. When I got home she told me that she was going like 75-70 when I told her and she dropped down to 60 and I never went lower than 70 on my speedo. I know my cars pulls like a mother and the guy who I bought It from didnt know what had all been done to the car so could I have 3.73's? Or is my speedo just F'd up? Is there any trick to tell what kind of gears. I checked my pumpkin and it says 3.27's so is there anyway I can see what kind of gears. Well I gotta go.

P.S. I got some Kumhos Ecctis 245/45/17 H. They tried to say they couldnt put H's on a GT but hell I'll but some rear slicks for the track anyway. And now the FUN begins!!!

LOL that 2 is supposed to be an @. But yea. I checke dmine and it says 4.10, lol, but I'm positive I dont have 4.10's, cause it wouldn't be on the stock housing.... I havea an auto, but @ 70mph, I hit approximately 2150 rpms

I thought I saw a post on here that would show you rpms, gearing and mph with some formula. I remember everyone talking about how it was B.S. because it said that there cars would go 240mph in 5th or something like that and it was correct if you had the power to get your car there. Anyone know where I can find this formula???

Heres my speedo and tach numbers.
5th Gear
50 MPH = 1600 RPM

60 MPH = 1900

70 MPH = 2150-2200

If anyone would post there times I would be very thankful. I'm trying to figure out if I need a new speedo, or just a chip or gear to fix it.
If I do have higher gears how would I go about fixing the speedo?
