Question trying to fix the stang

Hi, I have a 2000 3.8L mustang and ive been trying to get it up and running but it wont budge. Ive change the spark plugs, alternator, spark plug wires, CKP sensor and i still cant get it running. it sounds like it wants to crank over and start but it just wont. Any ideas what else i can do?

thank you for your help,
Liz

Thats a pretty broad question - but if you're getting spark - go to fuel next. Is the engine getting fuel?

Check fuel filter, pump, (a simple way on the 4.6 is to check the schrader valve - looks like a tire fill valve.. - if you depress it fuel should spill out - this is very low key) i'd sugget a fuel pressure test kit - harbor freight has them for under $20 bucks - and it works fine.

so is the car actually turning over or do you get a click sound every once in a while but tries to turn over other times?

+1 I think it could very likely be the fuel pump
