Yeah I sent my factory tune to pat at sniper and he deleted the IMRC for me with commando. That is when all of the idle issues started. But even when I pushed the original tune back that ford put on the car it is still having issues. It will die when it idles for about 45 seconds, and it will also dies when coming to a stop. It is almost like the IAC is messed up but it was working fine 2 days ago.

Don't you have to reset the ECM after loading on a tune? Otherwise the MAF has to try and relearn everything with a new tune and will run like crap until it does

I was thinking about that as well. But I never had to do that with my 96GT. Although he does have a PMAS MAF on his car where mine is stock. We are going to mess with it more today and see if we can not figure something out.

I found another copy of his original tune on a different PC so I am going to try to push that back on the car and see what happens.

Ok well the car is running better and is no longer stalling. It was either the tune file I was using was corrupt or the maf calibration I was selecting was wrong. This time I picked the COB 24lb maf calibration instead of the std 24lb selection.

The car is running good, but it feels like it is missing power from the hole which I have read is most likely due to removing the IMRC's. Mid and high feels pretty good though. Here is what I did:

low spark - +1.0
mid spark - +1.5
high spark - +2.0
global spark - +2.0

low fuel - +0.6
mid fuel - +0.6
high fuel - +0.4

I was a little conservitive on the spark as we were not data logging the AFR. I did not hear any pinging. I am going to data log the AFR either tonight or tomorrow to see where we are at. Thanks again for all of the help.

We do not have a lot of data on the MAF. My buddy can not remember all the details on it. It does have some writing on it. It just says PMAS and the calibration is 24lbs. It is an 80mm MAF as well.

If it is a "calibrated" MAF then it was designed to work with the OEM tune for whatever vehicle it was calibrated. If it was calibrated for the OEM tune for your friend's Cobra, then install 24 lb/h injectors, select "stock" for the MAF in Special Forces, and hope you get lucky.

If is wasn't "calibrated" for the stock tune in the Cobra then toss it in the trash, install the stock MAF and tune it from there.

So-called "calibrated" MAFs are a kludge left over from the days when it was impossible or very difficult/expensive to actually alter the tune--they work by having specially programmed (calibrated) transfer functions that trick a particular--not just any--stock tune in to working with higher capacity injectors.

Unless that transfer function is known, and can be loaded into the tune--which Special Forces cannot do--they will not work well (or at all) with anything other than the stock tune.

Ok so the saga continues. The car is still sometimes stalling when coming to a stop while driving,. The car also feels like it is down on power all through the power band. I did some data logging tonight and was wondering if someone could take a look. Granted, I did not have the fuel trim fix with sniper tonight, but I can re-do the logging if nessecary, These pulls were from 2000 - 6500 rpm in 2nd gear. One is from recon and one is from the LC1. I will also include the CEL codes that are currently on the vehicle.

P0412
P0602
P1260
P1519

I am thinking P0412 and P1519 are the result of removing the IMRC's.

The tune currently is the following:

Rear O2's off
EGR off
low spark - +1.0
mid spark - +1.5
high spark - +2.0
global spark - +2.0

low fuel - +0.6
mid fuel - +0.6
high fuel - +0.4
