i don't remember where i read it, but they put a blower running at 8psi on a mach1 and they gave it about 30,000 miles before the engine was pretty much gone.

Why is that? I thought the engines were pretty much the same. I've been dying to get my hands on a Mach 1. Not sure if I'd want to supercharge it, but I like to have the option available. I always figured if I want to get a Mach 1 and add a supercharger, might as well just get a cobra...but then again, I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

Nanaki I think you are thinking of a Modded Mustang issue, I think it was that mag, that they put a 2200cc KB on a Mach running like 10 PSI and blew the motor. The guy ran stock internals with a huge blower, that's why.

Alright, well the question then is, would a Cobra have been able to handle that? Mach 1 has forged internals, right? Remember I'm "mostly" clueless, lol.

Not to be an ahole or anything, but I'll put my Mach 1 up against those other 2 any day of the week. What makes anybody think the 01 Cobra has any more potential than a Mach 1? I sure don't think it does. The Saleen is a little more difficult to figure out, but it would seem to me it's already pretty well maxed out performance-wise.

Yes, I could take a 2000 S281SC quite handily with my current mods. When stock, I could run neck in neck with one according to the stats I've seen on them. Showroom stock, my Mach 1 ran 13.19 @106.
