Default Trans. Help!!!

from a stop, sometimes cant get the car into 1-5..

once i get it in, it drives smooth no problems, come to a stop same problem.

sometimes i can pump the clutch and it will go into gear, roughly.

when trying to put into gear, the car does move forward a smudge.. sometimes its extremely rough getting into gear.

This doesnt happen often, but it does get worse as the car heats up.

the clutch is about 2years old.

i do have an adjustable clutch cable setup, i have tried both all the way in, and all the way out with the same results. im using the original clutch cable (like everyone does)

the clutch doesnt slip in any gear once im rolling and at WOT.

whats the deal?
5th gear is noisy, always has been.

You have a clutch problem. It sounds like its not disenguaging all the way... On your quadrant, assuming its aftermarket too, if there is more then one hook, try moving the cable so its tighter... I dnt think ur getting enough adjustment w the firewall adjuster anymore

thanks, that was it, just changed the clutch everything is smooth again. what happened was i was messing with my firewall adjuster so my clutch grabs higher, and i think i turned it out to much, i eventually wore the clutch out.

stupid me

That's easy to do if u dnt know any better... Try to set it so its grab and release point is right in the middle of the pedals travel... Ought to solve both issues from happening again
