does it do anything when removed? Or just cleans up the engine bay?

It one of the emissions related things that actually helps.

Dad, I just can't agree here' I'm not asking for proof or anything like that but I have yet to see anything that suggests that any of that's true to any "measurable" amount. In theory sure, it makes sense.

This is from the "darkside of the force", but it holds true for our cars too...

Yeah, I'm on 3rd Gen's forum too, lol, but I still don't believe the hype. Have you ever had to change a tune on a car that had the EGR deleted? I haven't. My car got great mpg fully built at 600rw and my wifes almost stock car at gets 23-26mpg with it deleted.

It's not hype--it's a fact, if you can't see that you need to read Heywood (or read it again)..

Did I, or they, say it was a profound difference? If you want to delete it that's fine, but don't expect anything other than a "cleaner engine bay" by doing it--it will cost you 1/4 mpg or so if you do a lot of highway cruising--and adds nothng...
