Default coil overs

just put PA racing coil overs on and now that i've put a couple hundred miles on the car, these things squeak a lot. is that typical with most coil overs? Im running them on lakewood 90/10's which weren't noisy at all before the coil overs. i can hear them over the radio if its not up too loud.

I don't know why you would hear squeaking, but would expect some additional noise running them. Did you loosen the "A" arm bolts to install them, but tighten them back up prior to ride hight? Are there any rubber gaskets between the CO's and the CC plates?

It's possible you need new bushings.. Did you replace them when installing the coilovers?

i installed all new PA racing k member and a arms so all bushings are brand new. it appears to be the springs themself because when i jacked the car up and then was lowering it back down it squeaked as the springs compressed.

no rubber between the CO and CC plates just metal spacers so the CO don't rub on the mounting plate for the CC plates.

its a good thing you can hear the noise when jacking the car, I would start by spraying parts and bushings with spray lube (wd-40) until the noise goes away. a spring by itself shouldnt make noise. its prolly a spring seat or body flex. did you install a strut brace with the coilovers? coilovers add more pressure to the body than stock springs. one thing to look at...

I had coil overs before and they were very noisy... you have to spend alot to get factory ride like coil overs.
