Cruise control issues
Hey Guys,
Just got the car back from the body shop after my accident, and it looks damn pretty.. Paint is like glass..
However....
The body shop neglected to reconnect the wiring to the Cruise control, and the horn..
First off: Is the airbag wiring separate from the wire bundle that controls the horn/cruise??
Second: Where is that bundle located? Is this something that I can reach without taking the steering column apart??
I don't have a manual around, and I have to drive 6 hours this weekend, each way.. And the body shop took 2.5 weeks longer to fix my car than originally promised, so I'd rather do it myself this time..

RE: Cruise control issues
You will have to remove the left fender liner to access the cruise wiring bundle. I dont think you will have to mess with the column. The bodyshop might have unclipped the cruise, but really had no reason to mess with the column. Check your fuses, if you have not already.
As far as the airbag wiring, unless they were replaced, there should be no need to mess with any airbag wiring, to the best of my limited knowledge.

So basically, they put the steering wheel's electronics on separate harnesses?? I figured it would have been 1 harness, but when they go to the interior fuse panel, it'd split from there, so you wouldn't lose all of your steering..
Oh yeah, my airbags were both replaced, and that's why I was wondering if, say for some reason, I get into another accident before I get this fixed, will I be in trouble w/ no airbags?? I always wear my seatbelt, but still.. Fast enough, could be ugly..
