Default PP 75mm throttle body and plenum installed

Well found a 75mm tb and plenum off craigslist for $125 lol quite a deal if you ask me.

took it home and cleaned it up. followed it with some paint and a little customizing. im iffy on how it came out. i may change it.

what i have now:

new vs stock for anyone wanting comparison

my rattle can paint job (no CliffyK job but it will do lol):

and yes the plug came off the barb fitting

installed:

i do notice a whistle if i have the radio off and i try to listen for it inside the car (windows up) but its only when "stabbing" the throttle, on regualar driving easy on throttle i dont.

i was able to get my idle VERY close to where it was with stock tb/plenum. i put a peice of masking tape on my tach and marked with a pen where my idle sat(car at operating temp). then just adjusted the screw to get it to sit where i wanted it. in my case i am BARELY pushing on the throttle lever with the screw. it is almost not doing anything lol

install was quite simple, straight forward. couple bolts and remove anything in your way. the stock rubber tube will fit with a hairdryer to heat it up a bit and some WD-40 as lube and a flathead screwdriver to work it on.

havent noticed any gains yet but i have only driven it around my neighborhood (nothing on highway yet) but then again im not expectng much either. seeing how it will effect gas mileage as i just filled up today as well.

total time: 2hrs running back and forth in the house for stuff.

You can't beat that for the price. The only thing i ever noticed out of mine was slightly crisper throttle response.

yea i didnt drive it enough to feel anything, it was raining and i had other stuff to do lol ill be able to feel more tomorrow going to work.

ill be getting a UPR catless X mounted up to my magnaflow catback, so then hopefully ill feel more. any little bit helps. i was only looking to get a plenum and leaving the stock TB because that will flow plenty for my engine, but i saw this and couldnt pass it up

Wow, I didn't realize there was that big of a difference in size between a 75 and the stocker.

Your paint job turned out great!

So you didn't have to split the tube to get it to fit the bigger bore? That's awesome.

I just don't see how it could fit without stretching the heck out of it.

Good job!

no, no cutting the tube. i just used a regular hair dryer and heated the top half, aligned the bottom of the hole on pushed up and on whith WD-40 inside the tube and putting a flathead screwdriver to flip it on.

much like you would putting a tire on a rim. lube it up then pry it on. mind you i tool the hose clamp completely off doing this.

thanks for the compliments! i might change the saying on it. im not sure yet. it deff turned out better than when i got it! lol
