Default subframe connecters

hey i just got my my connecters in (weldon) and i have a question about installing. I know a exhaust shop that can put them on, but they only have a 120 volt wire welder, but they can get the car up in the air without binding the body. I have a miller welder that I can stick or tig with, which will penatrate more, but I would have to do it off jack stands. The question is would the body flex to much for me to do it myself with the better weld, or does it even matter. thanks for any advice.

I wish I could help, but why not lend the shop your welder?

A buddy of mine welded mine on and we use 4 jackstands to lift the car so he could get under it. I just put the stands on the rear axle and then the front one's on the a arms so the suspension would adjust to any little bit that the car was off. Just make sure that you do this a a pretty level surface so the car is not flexing any and you should have no problems. The only thing I can tell you is if it is fairly cheep to get them welded on at the shop do it, of course unless you like welding things on your back looking up. Hope this helps.

Hey bad,

You can do this job yourself, I also have subframes, myself and a friend did this job. It only took us less than two hours to finish the job. Your welder will suffice in doing this job just get a friend to help you hold the frames while you are welding. Good luck.
