Default IRS swap.

hey yall i just bought a complete IRS drop out of an 04 cobra and was woundering what was needed to install it. i know i need to change the yoke and also need to change the exhaust. but was woundering whant else if anything needed to be changed to make it all work on my non IRS car

I did this swap last year, Springs, Shocks, Rear Brake Lines. You'll need to make sure the that the Emergency Brake Cable doesn't rub against your rear tires. Other than that this is Super easy...

not much other than gernading the 7.5 in my car thursday morning on the way to work. been slowly working on a 281-v6 blower motor

Make sure you get the Rear mounting brackets with the IRS also. And you will have to swap your Pinion Flange onto the IRS(Unless your running a Cobra DS).

this is supposed to be a complete drop assembly ready to bolt into the car. does any body know about these so called "IRS BOLTS" that svt guys are talking about and what they are for

ford used a 12mm bolt to bolt the IRS assembly to the chassis. the problem is that these bolts are a little on the small side and tend to be the culprit of the infamous clunking sound. people have been swapping the bolt with the larger 14mm bolt that ford should have used in the first place to fix the issues. its a nice little upgrade that i would recommend you do while the IRS is out, but its not required.
