prochamber instead of o/r h?
Ok, I was set on buying a MAC o/r h-pipe to replace my o/r x-pipe that is paired to my flowmaster super 44 mufflers. However, Brenspeed currently has the MAC o/r Prochambers on sale for $210 shipped, which is only about $30-40 more than the MAC o/r h-pipe I was looking at. Question is, has anyone heard one of these in person vs an o/r h-pipe? I know everyone says how great the prochambers are and they do perform a little better than both h and x pipes, but I wanted real life experiences...not youtube with distorted speakers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Austin |
It's bs that the prochamber performs better than a x or h. It's a marketing ploy to generate sales.
IMO, it's going to be tough to beat a or h and flows. My brother tried all 3 mid pipes with his flows, and the h sounded best in all honesty. |
I love my Mac O/R H pipe and I'm not sure how the prochambers outperform O/R pipes. I would stick with the O/R H pipe.

Prochamber does have a nice sound however, gains are highly unlikely

If i could go back i would have got a prochamber

Curious as to why you would do this?

In my opinion the Prochamber has the best over all clean sound (if that evan makes sense). No raspy or ping sound
I got this from the Mac website "The MAC Pro Chamber™ goes even further than the traditional H-Pipe or X-Pipe to produce more Torque and Horsepower by merging exhaust pulses in one area. Merging of all the exhaust gasses creates higher temperatures which creates a boost in exhaust velocity and forces exhaust gas to see both out lets. Your exhaust will think it's a 180° Header!" |
Hmmmm, makes me want to do it more^
