Its good to heat cycle them for a bit then let them cool down and heat cycle them again. After a couple days of doing this then you are safe to play.

3 heat cycles in one day, drive for about 10 minutes at normal operating speeds. Let cool for 30 mins, do the same a couple times and then it's ready for massive amounts of abuse.

Hey 98GT Mustang and pete1665 will you both please record your 70 mph rpm's for me? I have a 96 GT and am not sure if I have stock gears in my car. The guy I bought it from had no idea what had been done to the car, he just purchased it from his newphew who was in need of some cash. If you could please get those #'s for me I would greatly appreciate it.

I got my gears used out of a old wrecked fox body. I hoped that he did all that heat and cooling crap, and i just romped on it as sonn as i pulled out of the shop parking lot. I guess thats different cuz they were used.

He has the stock 2.73 gears in it, That is where mine is at at 70 also. If he had 4.10 he would be around 2800 rpm's and around 2600 rpm's with 3.73
