knock when cold
OK i am new to 4.6 i have a 99 cobra when its cold out side like 20 car has a knock around the bell housing the colder it is the louder as soon as car warms up knock goes away also has tick in front of motor that does the same just wanted to know if it was norm. i know allum. motors are different

ok guys i took first video it was 18 degrees out side left garage door open so was prob atlest 30 n there it does not do this if temp is 40 or higher plus i just put on new h pipe because x pipe was hitting everything i also put in the rpm rev fix so car never idled down so im not sure it was doing this before or not because car does not high idle car is holding good oil pressure i will take video and post after car has been running see what u all think

ok let car run for maybee 5 min was like 22 outside temp was not up to norm yet but if u listen to videos back to back u can see i big improvement do u think this could be coming from fly wheel or maybee pilot bering car has after market input shaft on 6 speed tranny and does not stop if u press clutch n http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXUmDoEjNSM

sounds like an exhaust leak to me... but it could be a gummed up valve.... take it out and beat on it for a min... if it locks up its a bearing (nothing you can do about it anyway at this point) A rod knock is a very pronounced
