hi everybody i have a 2001 mustang gt 5spd that's running poorly

i'll start at the beginning, on the 24th i noticed come coolant leaking from my intake manifold, right under where the thermostat goes. i replaced the intake manifold gasket and when i got to firing it up the engine didn't turn over very well, sounded like the engine would stop but the motor was still turning. after a minute or 2 i got it started and it idled. it sounded funny but i figured it would might go away after idling for a bit. it didn't. when i took it for a test drive the car had no power and would surge a bit. when i would give it more gas the car wouldn't accelerate but just make more noise.

I'm going to replace the plugs and check the compression later today.

but is there anything that i could of screwed up causing the problem? there's no leaks, no check engine light and everything appears to be connected.

any ideas would be great.

Make sure no coolant leaked down the spark plug holes. I had the same issue when I replaced my intake. I bet pulling the plugs and putting them back in fixes the issue.
