Default will the seats fit?

I'm curious to know if the seats from an 05-09 will fit my 98 gt. Has anyone tried this before? I tried to search but didnt find anything. Also how hard would it be to hook up seat warmers to them. I live in NJ now and my leather seats get really cold. Thanks for the help.

I have been interested in doing this for a long time on my 99gt i havent been able to find anything on it. I think the back seats may be different sizes but i would love to do the front seats in mine.

I think it would be cool to hack up the dash of an 05+ and fit it inside a new edge, then add the seats to match. They are just so different that it would be a tough job.

As far as the dimensional measurements of the seats go, I say they'll probably fit (just an eyeball guess). But the only way to really know is to take some measurements, especially width. As far as the seat brackets go, the S197's probably won't work as S197's have a totally different floorpan than out cars; you might be able, with some creative engineering, to get your current seat brackets onto an S197 seat, but my money is on fabbing new seat brackets altogether.

I guy on my local forum put some 05+ seats in his 94 GT and they fit pretty good. He just did the fronts though.
