Yeah, my money is on the plugs, but then again, I could be wrong, sometimes it depends how well it was taken care of. When was the last time it was tuned up? New plugs, fuel filter, and such? If you don't know, then do it all so that you know it was done and when.

I would do plugs, fuel filter, trans flush (not just a drain and refill), check the cooling system, air filter, if it is a reuseable, then just clean it.

same thing happened to me replaced cop and it ran amazing.

sometimes its a toss up between COP and spark plug....unless visual damage on either.

pull the COP and test them with a voltmeter to rule them out or not: see Post #2 in bold

I found out the problem, 1-bad fuel injector. small crack in factory 14 year old exhaust manifolds.
