The MX is actually a decent tire.

You are a moron. A drag radial isn't the answer for everyone.

oh really? There isnt a street tire that can prevent me from spinning in 1st or 2nd even with moderate throttle. Those are indeed crap tires if you make power. If you have a slow car they will do but this guy is obviously having problems, drag radials ARE the answer. If you made more then 300rwhp you'd know this.
I was being extreme with the mickeys. He could go with a nitto 555r and never have traction issues at his power level.

Drag radials arent the only answer- you don't see high horsepower sports cars like Corvettes, Vipers, M Series BMWs or even Ferraris or Lamborghinis coming with DRs

+1 Kumho is garbage and I mean GARBAGE especially for high performance.

you need to get you some quality rubber - BFG, Goodyear, Michelin, some Nitto, ect

Kumho makes on of the top low TW street tires. The XS is the new MX and it is one of the faster street tires for auto x.

ok.. what's your point? No car comes stock with drag radials. That's like saying your car didnt come with aftermarket mods so leave it stock. Also drag radials are not legal in all states and countrys and dumbasses wreck in the rain on them so they can't come factory. Your arguement is mute.

Right we're comparing a autocross tire to a drag tire. How about you put a slick on a autocross car and see how it handles, then we'll put a auto-x tire on a top fuel dragster and see how that flys.
Like the other gentlemen your point is also completely mute.

Straight up if you have decent suspension mods and you're spinning you need stickier fatter tires, otherwise don't complain.

Oh yeah, bc "full strut bars" and "full coils" are REAL decent suspension mods right?

strut bars are for twisties, not for planting your *** in your seat when you smash the throttle.

He has plenty of tire. Maybe he has too much air in the tires? Maybe the tires are bald? Maybe its cold where he lives, causing him to spin. Or maybe he just flat out smashes the gas from a dead stop and expects it to hook all the way through 3rd. IDK!

Maybe the OP should just use the search function or look at jazzer's sticky(s)...

My point is not completely mute because the OP did not ask for a drag radial. He just said he spins his tires and you said his tires are trash. They are not trash. They are a decent tire and plenty of tire as well.

So back on topic. Why not put a Limited Slip Differential in the rear end. It will help you grip off the line. Theres more then just tires that can inprove launches. a limited slip diff and or suspension upgrades will help just as much. With at the right other parts His tires will work just fine. Drag radials arnt the only way to find some traction. That being said It is probably the fastest way to though. But if you plan on doing alot more later youll need to upgrade your suspension and rear end sooner or later.
