First of all, dab up some of that leaking fluid with a white paper towel and see what color it is, then you should be able to tell if its transmission fluid or not. Im pretty sure that there is no way to actually check the fluid level, instead you just fill it up. There are two ways to fill it. Both ways you will need to remove the filler hole bolt located near the top of the trany. If you have a pump you can simply fill it through that hole. If you don't have a pump, just unbolt and remove your shifter, then pour the fluid right in the top of the transmission. Keep in mind you only want to fill it to the depth of the filler hole, stop filling when the fluid starts to overflow out of it and reinstall the bolt and our shifter.

If you can't figure out the fluid by dabbing it, once u get the car jack up and crawl under there most of the time the tranny leak is probably from the seal on the tailshaft which is an easy fix.
