Odometer resets everytime I start the car?
This happens for about a month or so now. When I start up the car all the needle would go all the way to the end and back to normal just as you would see when you reset the battery.
Two days ago, the car failed to start up on the first crank, but that may be due to very cold weather. Is this a sign of dying battery? This battery is about 4-5 years old. |
Yep, your battery is going on you.

I forgot to mention that the needle indicator for battery life is normal (points a little above midpoint).
Thanks for all your help. |

Maybe testing the Battery and Alt first would be better than throwing money at it and not fixing the problem.
