Default Brakes?

Alright before anyone starts chattering on and on about by bear brakes, roush, brembo, etc. i have a budget. yeah i know horsepower is always limited by money and knowledge, well so are brakes. doesnt mean i dont have options, i have a 98 v6 (its an 8 now before you ask why not in a v6 post) and i need to make this fatty slow down. i know the 02 gt brakes are better they are a pistion. and i dont know how much it who be to do cobra, or gt really. id also lik to upgrade the rotors bigger and well better.
my questions are can i do this, how much is it, and some of whats better?

as long as you didnt buy 13" rotors, you dont need new calipers.

If you want to up-grade all your brakes for the least amount of money this is the best priced kit on the internet. I hav ebeen shopping around for brake kits for about 8 months and this is the best everything included kit out there that I have found. I don't know what you buget is but her is the link to the kit... http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=446 I have not done my brakes yet because I am going to use Bare Brake kit fro my car and have to save up for it. Hope this helps, and if oyu have and more questions about brakes feel free to ask me, like I said I have been looking around for the best kit for the best price for a long time.

Okay well then do you know about putting the newer GT Cailpers on? (like '02) i know that they are a two piston but are the brakets the same rotors.. my budget is tight to say the least college allows for small projects. what about upgrading the rotos to something bigger? or slotted? what about pads, i at least want them to be nice.

well mostly im looking to upgrade the fronts. i found cobra bullitt and mach 1 calipers for 218 a pair, i think ill end up doing that, and some stock cobra rotors. my questions are these what intails doing htis job. will these calipers bolt up to the brackets on the car now? or do i have to buy new brackets, lines, or other parts. Mostly im just asking what differences in the cobra and GT, well 98 v6 front end anyways.
