the 275 is an option for the 8" rim there is nothing wrong with it!!! it is the max size for the rim tho you can not get any bigger, for that you would need a 9" rim which would allow you to run a 315. I run 245 front and 275 back looks awesome handles great never had a problem. why not ask a tire professional if they will work without any problems? thats what I did.

I agree with you on everything except the 315 on a 9" wheel. I don't see how that's possible? Last time I knew, you'd need at least a 10" even for a 295...

I was also under the impression that my car factory was 17x8, 245/45/17 all around with a factory option of 275/40/17s in the back.....?

yes my mistake you do need 10" rim for 315 tire oops. and yes the 275 rear is an option thats why I dont understand why people on here or saying is not ok lol.
