Today i just got in the mail my slp loud mouth I's. BUt when i opened it all up it doesnt have mufflers but instead it is a resonator?? how could this be i thought the I's had mufflers and also will this be crazy loud and will i be able to pass the strict inspections? pleasseee help thanks, chris

Dude way to know what you are buying...yes Loudmouth 1's have resonators..that is why they are known for the insanely loud sound..which i love..but anyways..unless PA has a part of their inspection for sound..you'll be fine..that is if you have cats of course..

man i have been checking out what exhuast i wanted forever how could i have missed that!! i completly thought they had cats, because in pa you need cats in order to pass.. any ideas of what i can do now?

Dude you bought a cat-back..it goes on after your catalytic converters...your mid pipe is what has the cats on it..im guessing you have your stock midpipe?

yes i still have my stock mid pipe, but what my concern is that i might need mufflers. and also how would i be able to have mufflers and a resonators if i just went and bout some loudmouth II mufflers?



edit--- when i said cats above i ment to say mufflers, sorry about the confusion

Well technically you have "mufflers" per say..there is something there restricting somewhat..acutally barely..but dude you have 4 cats with the stock mid pipe..the loudmouth II mufflers look exatly the same as the resonators..they are straight through..but the resonators have nothing in them..the LM II's do..they are like glasspacks..with fiberglass filling..I'm sure you'll be fine bro..you have cats..you'll pass emissions

why dont you go and see if you pass first then worry about not passing if you dont

or go get inspected before you put the SLPon then you wont have to get an inspection for a year

There was no problem with them here, but the state is justifiably more concerned with emissions than noise in my area.
