At the least, fuel pumps, fuel injectors, and tuning.

the pump and injectors are supporting mods, and the dyno tune is necessary even with an off the shelf kit. the $1500 is a tuner kit, but still comes out way cheaper in the end

It will definitely cost you more than $1500 for everything, but it's still alot cheaper than buying a the complete kit. I think I spent around $2,200 for everything including the fuel pump, injectors, maf etc.

Where did you buy this set up from? Have you had any issues?

Thanks for the info guys. Can you guys let me know what I will need to do to start beefing up my bottom end? Also I'm lookng into another project. I was thinking about upgrading my heads and was thinking about going with Patriot Stage III heads. Do you think those heads will work good with the Vortech and also with the mods that I have already installed.

Any head is going to work fine with the blower, it's your cam selection that's going to make the difference. Personally I'd spend the extra money and get the new Trickflow heads, but the Patriots should work fine. And I definitely agree with everyone else on the way to do a blower. Buy the head unit and the bracket, pick yourself up a Treadstone intercooler, then get a bypass valve, a blow-thru style MAF and the necessary fuel system. Have someone fab the piping up, or do it yourself if you can.

Good luck with your deployment. Im in Iraq till some time late summer. Im also planning on supercharging the stang when i get back. I looked into the $1500 supercharger thread. Its got just about everything you need but the fuel mods. It could get you to 400hp. As far as getting new heads. You might want to worry about building the engine before you worry about new heads. The new heads will get you more power but that will do you no good when you blow your engine. Your internals are good for 400-440hp. So before you get new heads you should beef that up so when you get the new heads you can handle everything.
