Default Im looking to get...

Come October, after reenlisting, I am trading in my 02 3.8L v6 for a 04 4.6Lv8 GT. I'm looking for lists of recommended parts including superchargers, performance gears, exhaust, cold air, (possible) nitrous shots, headers, racing cams, steeda "cobra" brakes (or anything else recomended),interior/exterior dressup, etc. Looking for what ppl have used and like best :-p They always say learn from expierience, and frankly it's cheaper to ask before doing and finding you dont like it :-p Thanks ahead of time

you should get a xcal, it will help you when you get alot of mods and allow you to tune your car accordingly. Especially gears and engine work. Gears are always a good mod too. PM'd you about a xcal I have for sale if your interested.

my first mod was bbk headers, bbk x pipe, and flowmaster exhaust. 1500 with installation. sounds really nice and adds hp with any engine mods and some w/o engine mods. im very pleased.

Well, you have a ton of options. First do you want to be N/A or have some type of forced induction? For superchargers I would recommend a kenne bell. But if you want to stay N/A then exhaust, gears, programmer, CAI, throttle body and plenum (accufab), pulleys, and all those goodies. With nitrous though you might need to forge your engine. So look into superchargers before you do nitrous. Kenne bell isn't the only brand, they have, paxton, vortech, whipple, and many more. So think about what you want and ask us for what brands we would reccomend for your application.

If you're going to supercharge it and want to run a good amount of boost... I'd say it's a better idea to trade in your V6 for a cobra... imo.

Well, update on this project. I've decided to forgo the entire GT thing, and get one of three options: 03-04 Cobra SVT. A rousch model cobra, or a 99-04 style Saleen (S-281E (04)in specific). I've got several dealers looking around, they seem to jump when I said I'd be throwing $18,000 down with a trade-in. If anyone recommends anything for these, thanks to stangman im getting that xcal from him shortly :-p
