Default help with brakes please!!!

Newbie here looking for some help!!!

Just replaced the rear brakes today and some stranges noises and questions..

1) I go to pull the e-brake and it works but feels very loose.

2) When I pushed the brakes, it is very soft and is difficult to stop quickly.

3) There is a slight grinding on the rear right side.

4) I just saw a stream of brake fluid on the ground...

Any suggestions or help will be appreciated...Saw some posts that said to bleed, but not with all of these issues.. Thanks

well find out were that brake fluid is coming from. Fix it and bleed your brakes and I bet everything clears up. Also did you grease the pads at all? when you installed them. Most grinding noises can be from that or accidently bending that dust shield.

Did you do pads and rotors or did you replace calipers too?

Sounds like you didn't bleed the breaks properly, make sure you do that correctly, check into getting a manual on you mustang. The emergency break will be loose for a little, you'll have to pull it a few times to reset the tension in it, may take a minute or so, be patient. I would advise you drive to an autozone or w.e. and pick up one of those manuals for like $20 bucks, they'll help you do just about everything on your car. When doing brake work, it's important to make sure you do it right, if you have a buddy who is mechanically inclined, I'd ask him to check your brakes for you after you get the brakes bleed properly. BTW, it takes 2 people to properly bleed brakes.

if your brake fluid is leaking then you will get a mushy feeling in your braking. check to see if you didn't mess up a line or if the bleeder nipple got jammed open. once u fix the leak and rebleed the brakes then you wont get that mushy feel.
