Now, being serious. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and check how much PSI you have at the rail when it's acting up.
+1.....would hate to have you replace the pump only for it not to be your problem. i would do all possible checks to either rule out the fuel pump or to further solidify your guess of it being the fuel pump before you drop your tank.
FWIW, if your fuel pump is in question...EVER!....replace it. They're not too expensive. A 255 walbro can be had for around a 100 bucks and they only take an hour or two to swap out.
did you buy the car used? does it have a predator or other hand held tuning device that came with it? If it does, then chances are the car was flashed at some point. What gas do you put in it?
Pumps don't go out intermittently unless there's a wiring problem. If a pump goes out, it's dead 100%. (at least for stock or your average 255) If your pumps bad, your car wont start.
